Major Entertainment Conglomerate Namco Bandai Holdings announced on May 8 the financial result for the fiscal year ended March 2008. The consolidated income was 460,473 million yen (about US$4.6 billion) which rose only 0.3% from that of the last year, and did not reach the estimate at the begging of the term, 480,000 million yen (about US$4.8 billion.)
On the other hand, the operating income was 33,411 million yen (about US$334 million/20.9% down,) and the recurring income was 36,198 million yen (about US$361 million/20.6% down.) The income aspect seems to be facing a hard situation. The net income is 32,679 million yen (about US$326 million/34.7% down.) The sale of unexpected business booted up the number as the extraordinary income.

Operating income: 380 billion yen (about US$380 million/13.7% Up.)
Net income: 39.5 billion yen (about US$395 million/9.1% Up.)
Gross income: 22.5 billion yen (about US$225 million/31.1% down.)
